At Sandy Secondary School, we are committed to providing students with comprehensive Careers, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CIAG) services. Our dedicated Careers Leader, Mrs. G Anderson, is available to assist students in exploring a wide range of career options, including apprenticeships, college courses, employment, CV and cover letter preparation, and work experience training. You can easily get in touch with Mrs. Anderson by contacting the school directly, sending an email to email@example.com, or calling us at 01767 680598.
We work closely with the Bedford College group to ensure that our students are well-informed about post-16 college and apprenticeship opportunities.
Throughout their school career, our students have access to various resources and activities, including participation in National Careers Week, attending the National Apprenticeship Roadshow in Milton Keynes, engaging in workplace and university visits (such as visits to the Universities of Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire), personal well-being and independent learning lessons, career-focused events like the Careers/Breakfast Fayre, informative assemblies, career insight talks, employer visits to classes, support in developing essential employability skills, practice mock interviews, regular updates on local apprenticeship opportunities, and impartial guidance regarding course choices at ages 14, 16, and 18.
Our mission is to empower our students to make informed decisions and confidently pursue their future careers.
